Job summary

Senior Lifestyle is seeking a caring CNA to join our care team at River Glen of St. Charles, IL. You will take vital signs, assist with daily living activities, and support residents, including those with dementia, in a respectful, safe environment.

Work closely with supervisors to implement and update care plans, promote resident rights, and document changes while maintaining confidentiality and compassion in all interactions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Area of Study: Clinical/Nursing
• 1+ years experience in clinical/nursing
• CNA licensure depending on state requirements
• English proficiency to perform duties and emergencies
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work in a team and handle multiple tasks safely

Responsibilities

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing).
• Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia.
• Transfer, position, and turn residents.
• Provide skin care and assist with rehabilitation/restorative services.
• Follow the supervisor's care schedule and inform issues.
• Support resident rights and independence while reporting concerns.

• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
• Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and importance of reporting such changes to a supervisor.
• Assist as needed with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort service, and other activities of daily living.
• Provide compassionate care for residents with dementia.
• Transfer, position, and turn residents.
• Provide skin care to residents.
• Contribute to the resident's assessment and the plan of care.
• Provide nursing rehabilitation/restorative nursing services.
• Follow the schedule of resident's needs set out by supervisor.
• Provide emotional and social support to residents.
• Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect resident's personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid the need for physical restraints in accordance with the current professional standards, and support independent expression, choice, and decision-making consistent with applicable law and regulation.
• Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
• Respect and encourage the independence and dignity of the residents.
• Respect residents' confidentiality.

• Level of Formal Education: A High School Diploma or General Education Degree; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
