Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital Daytona Beach is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for full-time days (7am-7pm). A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered to qualified applicants. You will support post-ICU patients with daily care, rounds, and patient transport in a compassionate, patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or related experience (3+ years).
• BLS required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or related field certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing using basin-less products and basic hygiene.
• Perform hourly rounds and respond to patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with movement in wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of instruments, bedpans, urinals and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and stocked as directed.

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients' rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
