Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Orlando South is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate patient care in a busy post-ICU setting on 12‑hour day shifts. The role includes bathing, rounds, patient transport, and maintaining clean, stocked patient rooms.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years of related experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bath patients using basin-less bath products and assist with oral hygiene and feeding.
• Perform hourly rounds and monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers and assist with moving patients in/out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and other instruments/equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and organized; manage unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
