Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Assisted Living

Part-time

Do you have HEART? This position is responsible for caring for residents under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), LPN/LVN, or Director of Health & Wellness.

1. Take and record vital signs.
2. Measure and record height, weight, and fluid intake/output.
3. Recognize abnormal changes in body functioning and report such changes to a supervisor.
4. Assist with medication reminders, bathing, grooming, dressing, escort services, and other activities of daily living.
5. Transfer, position, and turn residents.
6. Provide skin care to residents.
7. Contribute to the resident’s assessment and care plan.
8. Follow the schedule of resident’s needs set by the supervisor.
9. Provide emotional and social support to residents.
10. Promote and protect resident rights, assist residents in making informed decisions, treat residents with dignity and respect, protect personal belongings, report suspected abuse or neglect, avoid physical restraints, and support independent decision-making in accordance with laws and regulations.
11. Inform supervisor of any resident issues or concerns.
12. Respect and encourage residents' independence and dignity.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED, or 1-3 months related experience/training, or equivalent. Area of Study: Clinical/Nursing. Experience: 1+ years in clinical/nursing settings. Certifications: CNA licensure as per state requirements. Language Skills: Proficiency in English for communication and emergency response. Technical Skills: Basic computer skills. Personal Attributes: Compassionate, dedicated, energetic.
