Job summary

Regency Pacific in Tacoma, WA is seeking a compassionate CNA for weekend shifts. You will provide quality nursing care, uphold resident rights, and support well-being on our vent and trach unit.

You will follow care plans, assist with grooming, vital signs, mobility, and documentation. CPR/BLS is required or obtainable. Benefits include health coverage, PTO, life insurance, and 401-K.

Qualifications

• CNA certification in the state of employment.
• CPR/BLS certification either held or obtainable.
• Ability to work weekends on a part-time schedule.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and provide care planning staff with changes and observations.
• Attend to residents' needs including grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, transfers, and mobility.
• Maintain skin integrity by turning, repositioning immobile residents and applying moisturizers.
• Protect residents' belongings and report missing items according to policy.
• Take vital signs and assist with weights, medications, and lifting with proper body mechanics.
• Document care in accordance with department policies.
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

Part-Time Opportunity is Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
