Job summary

Regency Olympia Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking compassionate CNAs to provide quality nursing care in a welcoming, home-like setting. The role emphasizes resident rights, dignity, and individualized attention to promote residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

This 28-bed center offers a newly adjusted wage scale and part-time NOC shifts. Applicants must hold a CNA certification in the state and be able to obtain CPR/BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with information, changes, and observations.
• Attend to residents' needs including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinence care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, ROM, communication.
• Maintain residents' skin integrity by turning immobile residents and applying moisturizers.
• Protect residents' personal belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Take vital signs, weights, apply creams, collect specimens, lift/move/transport residents with proper technique.
• Document care per department policies.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

Part-Time NOC Available

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.


• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements


• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.


• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.


• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.


• Document care in keeping with department policies


• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.


• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.


• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
