Job summary

Hcshiring in Monroe, WA is seeking a compassionate CNA to deliver quality nursing care, support resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality, and promote well-being through individualized attention.

The role requires following care plans, assisting with grooming, mobility, and daily activities, documenting observations, and adhering to safety and infection control procedures while communicating with residents, families, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.

Responsibilities

• Follow individualized care plans and provide information to care planning staff.
• Attend to residents' needs including grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, and mobility.
• Maintain skin integrity by turning and repositioning immobile residents and applying moisturizers.
• Protect residents' personal belongings and report missing items per policy.
• Take vital signs, monitor weights, apply creams, collect specimens, and assist with mobility using proper body mechanics.
• Document care per department policies.
• Follow safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate respectfully with residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

Shift Differential - $1.50/hr for Evening and $2.50/hr for NOC
Weekend Rotations Included

As a CNA, you provide quality nursing care and promote resident rights, dignity, freedom of choice, and individuality. You also provide individualized attention and encourage residents to maintain or attain their highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being.

You Will:

• Ensure individualized care plans are followed and provide care planning staff with specific information, changes, and observations of the residents' needs and preferences.
• Attend to the resident's needs, including; grooming, bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prosthetic appliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communication, in keeping with the individuals' care requirements
• Maintain each resident's skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, and other damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioning immobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin.
• Protect the personal belongings of each resident and promptly report missing items according to established policy.
• Take vital signs, residents' weights, apply creams/ointments, collect specimens, lift, move, and transport residents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices to prevent accidents.
• Document care in keeping with department policies
• Follow prescribed safety and infection control procedures.
• Communicate and interact tactfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers, and supervisors.

You Currently:

• Possess a CNA certification in the state of employment.
• Have the ability to obtain CPR/BLS card.
