Job summary

Athena Health Care Systems is hiring CNAs for Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Massachusetts. Multiple shifts (3p-11p, 11p-7a, 7a-3p) are available with weekly pay between $21 and $26 per hour, plus shift differentials for evenings, overnights, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.

• Answer call lights promptly and ensure accessibility for residents.
• Keep care areas clean and orderly.
• Maintain correct resident identification methods.
• Demonstrate safety techniques per orientation and training.
• Assist with other duties assigned by manager.

• 40, 32, and 24 hours available on 3p-11p

• 32 and 40 hours available on 11p-7a

• Full-time openings on 7a-3p

Join our dynamic care team at Southbridge Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, an esteemed facility committed to providing exceptional patient care and customer service. As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our residents.

Weekly pay ranging from $21 to $26 an hour, depending on shift. Evenings, overnights, and weekends come with shift differentials.

Experience & Education:

• Must have an active and unencumbered CNA license in Massachusetts or be in the process of obtaining one

• New graduates welcome

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident

• Participate in planning and following current resident care plan on all residents under your care

• Complete resident assignments effectively and promptly

• Observe changes in resident conditions and promptly report them

• Document accurately and completely

• Meet personal grooming needs for each resident

• Promptly answer call lights and assure that all are placed within reach of the resident

• Assure the resident care areas are left clean and in an orderly manner

• Maintain accurate methods of identification for residents

• Demonstrate correct safety techniques in accord with orientation and training processes of Athena and your specific job description

• Other duties assigned by manager

Specific Requirements:

• Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize appropriately

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such actions

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public

• Must possess the ability and willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel

• Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents

• Must be willing to seek out new methods and principles and be willing to incorporate them into existing nursing practices

• Must be able to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations
