Shift: Shift 3
Hours: 1900-0730; every third weekend; holiday rotation
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides age-appropriate care in a culturally sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with tasks related to basic nursing skills, personal care, and basic restorative services, as outlined in their clinical competency assessment. The CNA performs tasks learned during CNA training and certification or basic nursing courses. The role may include providing continuous safety observation. This position reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and the RNs on duty each shift. Other duties may be assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Required: State of Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification or current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation of successful completion of a basic nursing course, including at least one acute care medical/surgical clinical rotation. Additionally, BLS certification from the American Heart Association or an equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
