Shift: 3 (Every Friday & Saturday, 2230-0700 shift time. Rotating holidays)
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, provides age-appropriate care in a culturally and ethnically sensitive manner. The CNA assists patients with tasks outlined in their clinical competency assessment related to basic nursing skills, personal care, and basic restorative services. The CNA performs tasks learned during CNA training and certification or basic nursing courses at an accredited school. The CNA may be asked to provide continuous safety observation. This role reports to the Nurse Manager/Assistant Nurse Manager and the RNs on duty each shift. Other duties as assigned.
High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Requires Wisconsin Nursing Assistant Certification or current enrollment in a nursing program with documentation of successful completion of the basic nursing course, including clinical rotation. AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers or equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
