Qualifications

  • Must hold current Nursing Assistant Certification in Wisconsin.
  • At least 3 months experience in long-term care required.

  • Attend to the individualneeds of residents which may include assistance in personal and oralhygiene, feeding, incontinent care, toileting, colostomy care, prostheticappliances, transferring, ambulation, range of motion, communicating, orother needs not listed.
  • Observe residents for changesin condition or behavior and promptly report these changes to appropriatelicensed nursing personnel.
  • Provide care that maintainseach resident’s skin integrity to prevent pressure ulcers, skin tears, andother damage by changing incontinent residents, turning, repositioningimmobile residents, and applying moisturizers to fragile skin, etc.
  • Answer residents’ call lights promptly and courteously.
  • Perform various tasksassigned by the charge nurse including vital signs, residents’ weights,applying creams/ointments, collecting specimens, etc.
  • Assist with orientingresidents and their families to the nursing home upon admission and to theunit when transfers occur.
  • Lift, move, and transportresidents, using proper body mechanics or lifting devices for accidentprevention.
  • Communicate and interacteffectively and respectfully with the residents, visitors, families, peers,and supervisors.
  • Document care provided or other information inkeeping with department policies.

Qualifications

To beconsidered for this role, a candidate must hold a current Nursing AssistantCertification in Wisconsin and have at least 3 months experience in long-term care.

Candidatesmust also have reliable means of transportation and a negative TB test, validwithin the last 6 weeks.

Compensation

Pay isdetermined based on years of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant.

PayRange: $22-$25 per hour
