Job summary

Metcalfe Nursing and Rehab is seeking State Tested Nurse Assistants to provide compassionate care and support to residents. This role includes 12-hour shifts (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am), with opportunities for full-time or part-time schedules, ensuring residents’ personal care needs align with care plans.

The position offers benefits, overtime options, and competitive pay commensurate with experience. Prior LTC CNA experience is preferred, with training and state registry in good standing required.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate with residents and nursing staff.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Prior experience as LTC nursing assistant preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Successful completion of State Approved Nursing Assistant Training.
• Good standing in the state registry is required.

Responsibilities

• Answer signal lights, bells, or intercom system to determine residents' needs and ensure call lights are within reach.
• Check on residents who cannot call for help.
• Provide direct resident care such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Explain procedures to residents.
• Assist residents in activities of daily living.
• Other duties as assigned.
