Job summary

Caraday Healthcare is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to assist residents with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity. Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, and ensuring resident safety in a clinical environment.

Required are a high school diploma or GED and a current Texas Nurse Aide certification. Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry and able to understand and communicate in English. Some shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living.
• Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse.
• Lift, move, and transfer residents as required.
• Respond to call lights promptly.
• Assist or feed residents.
• Provide toileting or incontinence care and keep residents clean and dry.
• Maintain a safe environment and support resident rights.

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for assisting residents with activities of daily living in order to promote resident independence and dignity.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Bathe, shower, shampoo, shave, comb hair, dress appropriately, and perform nail care for any residents assigned
• Follow resident assignment schedule as made out by the charge nurse
• Lift, move, and transfer residents as required
• Answer call lights in a timely manner
• Assist or feed residents
• Keep residents clean and dry by providing toileting or incontinent care
• Provide supportive, protective, and safe environments for residents
• Understand and adhere to the guidelines of “Residents Rights” and assure resident safety
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Current Nurse Aide certification in the state of Texas
• Must be in good standing on the Nurse Aide Registry in the state of Texas and Misconduct Registry
• Ability to understand, remember and carry out verbal and written instructions in English
• Ability to speak clearly and hear well enough to communicate with residents
