Job summary

Azalea Homecare in Gainesville is hiring a dedicated CNA to provide in-home patient care. The role begins with Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM shifts and will transition to 8-hour shifts, becoming a full-time opportunity. You will deliver hands-on assistance, monitor health, and support daily living activities.

The ideal candidate holds an active CNA license, CPR/First Aid, and has reliable transportation, with a compassionate approach to patient dignity and privacy.

Qualifications

• CNA license in good standing is required.
• Current First Aid & CPR certification or willingness to obtain—employer-paid.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift/transfer clients and perform basic caregiving tasks.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on support: assist clients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and transfers.
• Promote mobility and strength: assist with range-of-motion exercises and physician-directed routines.
• Monitor health: check vital signs and report changes promptly.
• Provide medication cues: remind clients to take meds as ordered and document compliance.
• Support daily life: prepare meals, light housekeeping, run errands, and provide companionship.
• Advocate for safety: follow infection-control and fall-prevention protocols and document in EMR.
