Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technician to join our Heart & Spine Hospitals. This role provides nuclear medicine and PET imaging services under physician guidance, using diverse cameras and radiopharmaceuticals.

The position emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork within a large hospital network. The ideal candidate holds a CAHEA-accredited NM program, Texas MTR, and ARRT NM/NMTCB certification, with BLS and ACLS expectations within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CAHEA accredited school of Nuclear Medicine preferred.
• MTR State of Texas
• ARRT (NM) or NMTCB certification
• NMTCB PET certification preferred
• Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider
• ACLS provider required within 6 months of hire or transfer date

Responsibilities

• Under the guidance of a Nuclear Medicine Physician, the Nuclear Medicine/P.E.T Technologist accomplishes one or a combination of several general radiographic procedures.
• Performs at a technical level requiring a high degree of independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative to apply isotopes for radiographic diagnosis.
• Performs tests in-patients and out-patients.
• Utilizes a variety of Nuclear Medicine cameras and varied equipment.
• Administers pharmaceuticals and radiopharmaceuticals as outlined in Nuclear Medicine Scope of Practice.
• Demonstrates industry in radiation safety.
• Other duties as assigned
