Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered care and assist with daily living activities in Canistota, SD. You will work under a charge nurse, administer medications as delegated, and help with daily tasks to support wellbeing.

The role features PRN shifts, varying hours, and access to daily earnings with a strong not-for-profit mission. Qualifications include a HS diploma or GED, CMA/CNA certification, and state-specific requirements.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must complete annual competency testing and maintain continuing education credits as required by state regulations.
• Active CMA/CNA certification/registry as required by state for CMA or CMA-like roles.

Responsabilités

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse within scope of practice.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and mobility; support wellness and recreational programs.
