Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse's supervision at GSS SD Canistota Ctr in Canistota, SD. You will help with bathing, meals, mobility, vital signs, and documentation per each resident's care plan.

The role requires CMA/CNA certifications as specified by state boards, ongoing CE, and adherence to safety and quality standards. Full-time employment with competitive benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of annual competency testing and continuing education credits.
• CMA or CMA-related certification required per state board.
• Active nursing assistant registration or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care outcomes, vitals, behavior and dietary information.
• Assist with daily living activities, meals, and dining experiences.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and assist with transfers.
