Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to deliver resident-centered nursing care and daily living support at the Canistota facility in Canistota, SD. Under the supervision of a charge nurse, you will assist with activities of daily living and basic health care tasks.

You will administer prescribed medications as delegated, document care outcomes, and monitor residents’ conditions. This role requires CNA certification and ongoing education as per state requirements, with opportunities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have state CNA certification and be registered where applicable.
• Successful completion of required continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Support and participate in wellness and recreational activities.
