Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under a charge nurse.

The role involves administering medications per state regulations, documenting care and vital signs, assisting with meals and mobility, and supporting wellness activities. A minimum of 3 months in long-term care is preferred; weekend/evening shifts and travel within 75 miles are part of the job.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must meet CMA/CNA state certification requirements.
• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and housekeeping as needed.
