Job summary

Good Samaritan Miller Prairie Ctr seeks a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will administer medications, monitor residents, and document care, while supporting basic health needs and activities.

You will work with state-specific CMA/CNA requirements and engage in wellness programs and team collaboration within a Christian, not-for-profit setting.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Maintains required certifications and continuing education credits.
• State CMA/CNA certification requirements may apply and must be obtained within 120 days where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Provides resident-centered daily living assistance and personal care.
• Collects vital signs and documents care outcomes.
• Assists with food preparation and dining tasks.
• Participates in wellness programs and can contribute to committees as needed.
