Job summary

Good Samaritan in Miller, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will assist with activities of daily living, monitor vital signs, and help with meals, transfers, and mobility in a long-term care setting.

Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Experience as nursing assistant in long-term care preferred.
• Must meet state CMA/CNA certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, medication outcomes, and vital signs.
• Assist with bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing, transfers, and mobility.
• Assist with meals and dining to ensure a positive dining experience.
• Support wellness and recreational programs and participate in committees as needed.
