Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant and Certified Medication Aide (CMA/CNA) to provide high-quality resident care in Minnesota. You will assist with medications under nurse direction and support daily living activities to promote dignity and independence.

This dual-certified role requires strong communication skills, adherence to privacy regulations, and the ability to document care accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; CNA/CMA certification preferred and CPR.
• Experience: 0-1 years in resident care or healthcare setting.
• Dual CMA/CNA certification enables medication assistance under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Under nurse supervision, assist with medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy.
• Maintain resident rooms in clean, orderly condition including light housekeeping.
• Provide direct care with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, grooming, mobility, feeding).
• Assist residents with transfers, ambulation, and use of supportive devices with proper safety.
• Attend facility meetings and in-service training programs.
• Practice infection control in all aspects of resident care.
• Observe residents’ rights, including privacy and dignity.
• Report changes in condition or behavior to the nurse promptly.
• Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Provide clear direction to staff and others.
