JOB SUMMARY:

A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will administer medications to residents following established policies, procedures, and regulations. Sapphire provides training and resources to support CMA engagement and skill maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents
• Administer medications as per the care plan
• Seek assistance from licensed staff as needed, especially for PRN medications
• Ensure medications are given correctly, in the right manner and time
• Accurately document all medication administration and care activities
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Monitor residents' condition changes in collaboration with nurse supervisors
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families
• Foster a compassionate environment for residents and families
• Follow facility policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Hold an active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) license or CNA license with proof of CMA program enrollment
