JOB SUMMARY:
A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will administer medications to residents following established policies, procedures, and regulations. Sapphire provides training and resources to support CMA engagement and skill maintenance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents
- Administer medications as per the care plan
- Seek assistance from licensed staff as needed, especially for PRN medications
- Ensure medications are given correctly, in the right manner and time
- Accurately document all medication administration and care activities
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information
- Monitor residents' condition changes in collaboration with nurse supervisors
- Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families
- Foster a compassionate environment for residents and families
- Follow facility policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Hold an active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) license or CNA license with proof of CMA program enrollment
