JOB SUMMARY:

A Certified Medication Aide (CMA) will administer medications to residents following established policies, procedures, and regulations at the federal and state levels. Sapphire will provide training and resources to ensure the CMA maintains high-quality skills and engagement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide routine daily nursing care and services to residents
• Administer medications as per the individualized care plan
• Seek assistance from licensed staff for PRN medications and complex cases
• Ensure medications are given accurately, safely, and timely
• Accurately chart all documentation related to medication administration and care
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information
• Collaborate with nurse supervisor to monitor residents' condition changes
• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families
• Create a supportive and compassionate environment for residents and their families
• Adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Hold an active Certified Medication Aide (CMA) license or a CNA license with proof of CMA program enrollment
