Job summary

Victoria Gardens of Allen in Tyler, TX is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for the day shift to provide direct resident care and operational support. You will verify resident identity, administer medications, monitor vital signs, record observations, and respond quickly to needs.

Responsibilities

• Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage and time of administration on specified forms or records.
• Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application or administers medication using specified procedures.
• Takes vital signs or observes residents to detect response to specified types of medications and prepares report or notifies designated personnel of unexpected reactions.
• Takes and records temperatures, blood pressure, pulse and respiration rates and food and fluid intake and output as directed.
• Answers signal lights, bells or intercom system to determine resident needs.
• Other duties as assigned.
