Qualifications

• Familiarity with medical terminology; strong data entry skills.
• Ability to work with members of the health care team.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and interprets medical information to determine ICD codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Abstracts data elements for statistical requests and enters information into the designated system.
• Manages medical information and cash flow related to unbilled coding reports.
• Keeps up with ICD guideline updates by training reviews and coding clinics and applies updates.
• Performs other duties as assigned or required.
