Three Crosses Regional Hospital seeks a Certified Coder to perform accurate coding of clinical and administrative data using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT guidelines. The role requires attention to detail, adherence to regulatory requirements, and collaboration with the Revenue Cycle team.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of medical coding experience and hold a recognized coding credential (e.g., CPC, CCS, CIC) from AAPC or AHIMA. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: 3+ years medical coding experience.
• Meet all Employee Health Requirement.
• Certification from CPT/ICD/AAPC or AHIMA required or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Perform coding of administrative and clinical data using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, and CPT codes.
• Review medical records to validate or invalidate coding and billing issues.
• Develop and maintain an audit schedule in coordination with leadership.
• Document findings to support claim adjustments and coding rationale.
• Identify and document process gaps contributing to incorrect payments.
• Ensure PHI security and confidentiality.
