Job summary

Valley Health System in Ridgewood is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and front desk duties. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant program recognized by NJ state.
• Certification as CMA/RMA per board recognition required.
• Completion of coursework in office management or database management.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, verify insurance, collect payments.
• Perform patient intake, blood draws, EKGs and related tests as directed by physician.
• Document accurately in EMR per licensure and policy.
• Coordinate with practice staff to maintain smooth workflow and patient flow.
• Answer calls, schedule appointments, and handle medication refills as appropriate.
