Job summary

Valley Health System in Ridgewood, NJ is seeking a qualified Medical Assistant to support clinicians with patient intake, vitals, blood draws and EMR documentation. Under supervision of a physician, Charge RN or Manager, you will handle front desk duties, scheduling and patient flow while maintaining compassionate care.

Requirements include a high school diploma with a recognized Medical Assistant program and certification; BCLS preferred; experience in a clinic or outpatient setting is valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with completion of a formal Medical Assistant program
• Certification as CMA/RMA recognized by state boards (AMT/AAMA/NCCT) required

Responsibilities

• Assist physician with patient intake, blood draw, EKG and tests as directed
• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR per licensure and policy
• Front desk duties: greeting, scheduling, insurance verification and payments, answer calls
• Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and care
