Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for Kenwood Cardiology to support a primary care physician in delivering high-quality patient care. You will help update health records, prepare treatment rooms, and ensure accurate documentation while maintaining compassionate patient interactions.

The role requires MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA), High School diploma or GED, and BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NRCMA/NCMA is required.
• ABR-OE is acceptable (not in SC).
• BLS certification required at hire for some locations; preferred before independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community in a respectful manner.
• Prepare and review patient charts for upcoming visits, verifying test results and records.
• Measure vital signs (pulse, respiration, BP, weight, height).
• Perform clerical duties such as inventory checks, tracking referrals, and answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
