Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for the Upstate Cardiology team. You will support the primary care physician, review health records, measure vitals, and prepare exam rooms to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications include a High School degree or GED and an MA certification (CMA/RMA/CCMA/NCMA/NCCT) or ABR-OE. BLS/CPR may be required at hire depending on location.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from CMA/RMA/CCMA/NHA/NCMA/NCCT or ABR-OE acceptable (not SC MA).
• BLS/CPR required at hire for certain Bon Secours Mercy Health locations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide excellent customer service.
• Prepare & review patient charts, verify diagnostic tests and records.
• Measure vital signs: pulse, respirations, BP, weight, height.
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, track referrals, answer phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned.
