Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for a Physician Office role in Cardiology, Mechanicsville. The CMA will work closely with the primary care physician to uphold patient care standards and ensure compliance with medical assisting scope and state guidelines.

Responsibilities include updating health records, taking vital signs, preparing exam rooms, and supporting departmental clerical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED is required.
• Active CMA certification from one of the listed national bodies.
• BLS certification is preferred/required for certain locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients respectfully.
• Prepare and review patient charts; verify diagnostic tests and records.
• Measure vital signs including pulse, BP, height, weight.
• Handle clerical duties: inventory, referrals, phones as needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly.
• Other duties as assigned
