Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program with coursework including pharmacology and medication administration. Certification must be obtained within six months of hire, with an signed education agreement. Acceptable certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), among others. Alternatively, experience as a supervised medical assistant or a graduate of an accredited nursing program with relevant clinical and administrative experience qualifies.

• Experience: Previous medical office experience preferred.

• Licensure/Certification: Current certification or the ability to obtain within six months as CMA, RMA, or CCMA is required.

• Additional Skills: Ability to complete skills validation and competency testing successfully.
