Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, with an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), NHCWA, NCCT, NAHP, AAH, ARMA. Alternatively, work experience as a supervised medical assistant for specified durations or graduation from an accredited nursing program is acceptable, with relevant clinical and administrative experience.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification or ability to obtain within 6 months as CMA, RMA, or CCMA; required. Current State Driver's License (Palliative Care Only); required.
• Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing.
