Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Must be a graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program; curriculum must include pharmacology and medication administration. Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the sixth month of hire, with an education agreement signed. Accepted certifications include CMA (AAMA), CCMA (NHA), RMA (AMT), among others. Alternatively, relevant work experience or nursing graduation may qualify.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office is preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire as CMA, RMA, or CCMA; required.
• Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete skills validation and competency testing.
