Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks in a fast-paced family practice setting. The CMA will take vital signs, assist with procedures, update patient records, and coordinate appointments under physician and nurse supervision.

Positions are full-time with daytime hours and no weekends, at Shifting location: St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. Eligibility includes CMA certification, BLS, and relevant clinic experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for new hires.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum one year work experience in public contact role.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointments.

We are seeking aCertified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs,assistingwith procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.

Responsibilities

**To be considered for this position, you must have at least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic setting**
