St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks under physician and nurse supervision.

The role involves taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, CMA/RMA certification (preferred) and current BLS certification; at least one year of public-facing healthcare experience is desired.

Responsabilidades

Location: St. Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations .

Responsibilities

To be considered for this position, you must have at least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic setting

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointment

• Medical Assistant Certification perferred.
