Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support both clinical and administrative tasks at St. John's Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. The role involves taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments.

Shifts are Days, full time, 8:00am to 4:30pm, with no weekend work. The CMA will work under supervision of physicians and nurses to deliver patient care in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or one year of experience in a physician clinic setting.
• Current BLS certification on hire and maintained.
• Current CMA/RMA credential from a nationally recognized credentialing organization required.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointment

Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.
