Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks at St. John's Hospital in Leavenworth, KS. Work: full-time, days, 8:00am to 4:30pm, in a Family Practice department under physician and nurse supervision.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating records, coordinating appointments, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Requirements: MA certification, BLS, and clinic experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants or equivalent credential.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized MA credentialing organization.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointments.

Location: St. John's Hospital - Leavenworth, KS.

We are seeking aCertified Medical Assistant, also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs,assistingwith procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments. Medical Assistants will work under the supervision of physicians and nurses in a fast-paced environment, helping to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations.

• 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting, preferred
