Job summary

Providence Medical Group – Kansas City, KS is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced orthopedic clinic. You will work with providers and a collaborative clinical team to care for patients of all ages, from young athletes to adults with orthopedic conditions.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants, Surgical Technologists, or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained current
• Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures
• Assist providers with routine treatments and patient care needs
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointment

Shift’s Available: Days (No Weekends)

Hours: 8-hour shifts - 8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: Providence Medical Group – Kansas City, KS

Travel: Some required between hospitals

Responsibilities

To move forward int he process, you must have 1 year of experience as a Certified Medical Assistant
