Job summary

Prime Healthcare’s Orth Clinic in Kansas City, KS is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support providers and the clinical team. You will greet patients, take vital signs, and prep for exams in a fast-paced orthopedic setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with treatments, administering medications as permitted, updating records, and coordinating referrals and follow-ups. Bilingual Spanish is encouraged; 1 year of CMA experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school for Medical Assistants; or one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician clinic setting.
• Current BLS certification upon hire and maintained.
• Current medical assistant credential from a nationally recognized Medical Assistant Credentialing organization required.
• 1 year experience as a medical assistant in a clinic setting preferred.

• Assist providers with routine treatments and patient care needs.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.

Shift’s Available: Days(No Weekends)

Hours: 8-hour shifts -8:00am to 4:30pm

Location: Providence Medical Group– Kansas City, KS

Travel: Some required between hospitals
