Job summary

Mission Hospital Inc. in Mission, TX, seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support Mission Regional Medical Center. The CMA will assist with clinical and administrative tasks, under supervision of physicians and nurses, to ensure smooth operations and quality patient care.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating records, and coordinating appointments. Shifts are days, full-time, 8:00am–5:00pm.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certification at hire.
• Minimum one year of experience in a public-facing role.
• Healthcare experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients, obtain vital signs, and prepare them for examinations and procedures.
• Assist providers with routine clinical procedures, treatments, and patient care needs.
• Administer medications and injections as permitted by certification and clinic policy.
• Update patient records, document clinical information, and maintain accurate medical histories.
• Coordinate prescription refills, lab results, referrals, and follow-up appointment.

We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant , also referred to as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA). Certified Medical Assistants will support both clinical and administrative tasks, such as taking vital signs, assisting with procedures, updating patient records, and coordinating appointments.
