Job summary

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care in Federal Way, WA is seeking a Medical Assistant to run the full physical health screening process for the care team, support medication and injection appointments, and help close the loop between clients, providers, and their broader care team.

You will perform medical screening, draw labs, assist with injections including long-acting injectables (LAI), and engage in patient outreach and care coordination with cross-site collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification and current CPR/BLS certification
• Phlebotomy certification, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete full medical screening for every client
• Draw labs per standing orders and assist with injection appointments, including long-acting injectables (LAI)
• Flag results for RN review and support care coordination for PCP appointments
• Conduct patient outreach including no-show follow-up, appointment reminders, and check-ins for clients not seen in 90 days
• Support your provider and multi-disciplinary teams, including the potential for cross site support.
• Build collaborative and meaningful relationships with clients facing substance use disorder and psychiatric disorders.
