Job summary

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care in Federal Way, WA, is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform full medical screenings, support injections, and coordinate care with the team. The role offers essential frontline support within a multidisciplinary setting.

You will help maintain care continuity, assist with labs, injections, and outreach efforts, and contribute to the integration of physical health within behavioral health services. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Current Medical Assistant certification and current CPR/BLS certification.
• Phlebotomy certification, or ability to obtain one within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete full medical screening for every client
• Draw labs per standing orders and assist with injection appointments, including long-acting injectables (LAI)
• Flag results for RN review and support care coordination for PCP appointments
• Conduct patient outreach including no-show follow-up, appointment reminders, and check‑ins for clients not seen 90 days
• Support your provider and multi-disciplinary teams, including the potential for cross site support.
• Build collaborative and meaningful relationships with clients facing substance use disorder and psychiatric disorders.

Federal Way, WA | Full-Time, Non-Exempt | Pay: $27.77-35.87

Be one of the first clinical staff our clients see. As a Medical Assistant, you'll run the full physical health screening process for your care team, support medication and injection appointments, and help close the loop between clients, providers, and their broader care team.
