Job summary

Valley Cities Behavioral Health Care in Seattle, WA, is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to support screening, injections, labs, and care coordination within a multidisciplinary care team.

You will complete full medical screening, draw labs, assist with injections including long-acting injectables, and help close the loop between clients, providers, and their care team. MA certification and CPR/BLS are required; phlebotomy certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program required.
• Current Medical Assistant certification and CPR/BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy certification, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Complete full medical screening for every client.
• Draw labs per standing orders and assist with injection appointments including long-acting injectables (LAI).
• Flag results for RN review and support care coordination for PCP appointments.
• Conduct patient outreach including no-show follow-up, appointment reminders, and check-ins for clients not seen in 90 days.
• Support your provider and multi-disciplinary teams, including the potential for cross site support.
• Build collaborative relationships with clients facing substance use and psychiatric disorders.

Be one of the first clinical staff our clients see. As a Medical Assistant, you’ll run the full physical health screening process for your care team, support medication and injection appointments, and help close the loop between clients, providers, and their broader care team.

What You’ll Bring
