Daymark Recovery Services, Inc. is seeking a Medical Assistant in North Carolina to assist physicians and patients, measure vital signs, maintain records, perform lab tests, and help with medications.

The role emphasizes confidentiality and adherence to regulations within a supportive care setting. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and AAMA certification, with at least one year of related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AAMA certification preferred.
• Minimum one year related experience or training preferred.

Responsabilités

• Verifies patient information by interviewing patients; reviewing and/or recording medical history; taking vital signs; administering medications.
• Supports patient care delivery by helping health care providers during examinations; preparing laboratory specimens; performing basic laboratory tests on the premises; disposing of contaminated supplies; telephoning prescriptions to pharmacies; drawing blood; administering injections.
• Educates patients by providing medication and home care instructions; answering questions.
• Completes medical records by recording patient examination, treatment, and test results.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; alerting others regarding potential concerns.
