Job summary

The Liberty Group is immediately hiring experienced HVAC-certified Apartment Maintenance Technicians. Pay ranges from $21 to $23 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC systems, performing preventative maintenance on A/C and mechanical systems, and preparing vacant apartments for make-ready. Candidates should have 6+ months of onsite experience and EPA/CFC/HVAC certification.

Qualifications

• EPA/CFC/HVAC certification required.
• 6+ months of on-site apartment maintenance experience.
• Valid government-issued ID.
• Reliable transportation to worksites.
• Own basic maintenance tools.

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on A/C and mechanical systems.
• Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally.
• Prepare vacant apartments for make-ready/turn status (repairs and improvements).
• Maintain grounds and common areas.
• Document work in maintenance logs.
• Prioritize multiple work orders while delivering excellent resident service.

What you’ll do

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems
• Perform preventative maintenance on A/C and mechanical systems
• Complete resident service requests efficiently and professionally
• Prepare vacant apartments for "make-ready" / turn status (repairs + improvements)
• Maintain grounds and common areas
• Document work completed in maintenance logs
• Prioritize multiple work orders and deliver great resident customer service

Preferred (not required)

• Strong apartment turn / make-ready experience
• Experience in related fields (hotel maintenance, carpentry, rehab, condo) only if you also have onsite apartment experience
