UNC Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by reviewing, compounding, and dispensing medications under supervision. The role involves patient-area medication delivery, inventory management, data entry for billing and quality control, and responding to customer inquiries.

Position offers an evening schedule, full-time onsite work at Rex IP Pharmacy in Raleigh, NC, with a competitive hourly pay range and the UNC Health incentive program.

Qualifications

• Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
• Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• NC Board of Pharmacy registration required unless enrolled in PharmD program.
• Pharmacist supervision and adherence to USP/NABP guidelines.

Responsabilités

• Compounds and/or prepares medications under pharmacist supervision.
• Delivers exchanged medications to the patient care area and returns unused meds.
• Documents activities including billing and quality control using systems.
• Responds to pharmacy service inquiries and assists customers.
• Operates dispensing technology to provide correct meds per orders.
• Restocks inventory and manages expiration dates.
• Assists with training of new employees and process improvements.
• Supports regulatory inspections and documentation.
