Job summary

Qualifications

• Registration as a technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy unless enrolled in a PharmD program.
• CPhT from PTCB or ExCPT from NHA unless enrolled in a PharmD program; if enrolled, this can be waived for the duration of the PharmD program.
• Prior pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
• Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and prepares medications under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
• Delivers exchanges medications to the patient area and returns unused medications to the pharmacy.
• Documents pharmaceutical activities including patient billing and quality control requirements.
• Responds to triages requests from customers for assistance with pharmacy services.
• Operates automated dispensing technology to supply medications per orders.
• Manages inventory: orders, receives, restocks, rotates, expiration dates.
