Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in reviewing, compounding and dispensing medications. The role works under pharmacist supervision and involves evening shifts with onsite work.

Qualified applicants will have a NC Board registration (CPhT/ExCPT preferred) and may be enrolled in a PharmD program. Completion of training is preferred; prior tech experience is valued. The position offers a comprehensive incentive program and on-site responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Completion of an academic pharmacy technician training program preferred.
• Registration as a technician with the NC Board of Pharmacy required unless in PharmD program.
• CPhT or ExCPT certifications preferred; waivers may apply during PharmD program.

Responsibilities

• Compounds and/or prepares medications under supervision of a Pharmacist.
• Delivers and restocks medications in patient areas and returns unused meds.
• Documents activities including patient billing and quality controls.
• Responds to customer requests for pharmacy services and information.
• Operates automated dispensing tech to supply meds per orders.
• Assists with training and process-improvement projects.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and conducts storage inspections.
